Visual Design

With user design research for JMU's Dining Services website I acquired, I created an imaginary organization and app design to provide JMU students with ingredient information about JMU’s on-campus meals. I designed a logo and brochure for the imaginary organization, "Fixin's," using the color palette and typefaces below.

Color Palette and Typefaces

I wanted colors that weren't too bright, yet complimented each other on the color wheel. They also are found naturally together, specifically in some plants and flowers, which I felt like coincided with the idea of clean and fresh food. I also wanted fun fonts that complimented each other.

Logo

Since the purpose of the app was to provide students with ingredient information, I wanted a logo that represented the idea of ingredients. The split fruit as a letter encapsulates this.

Brochure

I created this brochure to not only advertise the app that the imaginary organization created, but to explain the purpose behind why the organization was created. I used the same color palette and typefaces used in the logo.
