Industry Experience

Here I showcase some projects I've been a part of that helped me grow in my skills. What I learned in these experiences inform how I view video production and the way I plan to lead behind the camera.

Voiceover

I had the pleasure of recording my voice in a studio and being featured as the voiceover for JMU's graduation celebration video in 2022. I got to experience what it was like in front of the camera in order to inform my work behind it.

Assistant Work

As assistant to director Oran Zegman in 2024, I had the privilege of contributing to her creative vision and journey. In addition to typical assistant responsibilities, I also covered scripts and evaluated their producibility, edited her treatments and wrote copy, took detailed notes and synthesized key points in pitch presentations, and performed thorough research on casting and film comparables.

In Front of the Camera

I served as the tour guide for the official SMAD tour of Harrison Hall, featured on the official JMU website. My experience in front of the camera as the main talent of the video taught me the importance of preparation, giving specific direction, and fact-checking the script before shooting.

Development Internships

In the summer of 2023, I had the amazing opportunity to work with Castle Rock Entertainment and Gott Films as a development intern. I grew in research and post-production skills through article and script coverage, building pitch decks, and analyzing producibility of scripts. I learned what it looks like to work in development and the importance of research to production.
